Hi all,
Born South Africa, and now living on St Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles.
What an amazing forum, unbelievable work is shown here.
I started gem cutting in 1973 and naturally progressed to goldsmithing in 1981, then on to wax carving (lost wax casting) and gemstone carving. All my carving is jewellery related. I still practice all my disciplines daily, on a professional basis.
I teach a few select students goldsmithing. I have no secrets and give any information and techniques to anyone as they wish.
I look forward to being a small part of this forum
Cheers, Hans Meevis

Aloha Hans,

Welcome. I checked out your site and liked what I saw. (The goldsmiths are taking over. :D ) It's good to see a lapidary (sic?) join us.

Hello Hans and welcome aboard,

I really enjoyed seeing what you do with your materials, particularly the titanium  I for one may try to pick you brains at some point.

best regards, Ford
