I was looking at some websites and saw some beautiful Netsuke. One of them had a really nice coloration and said he used Yashadama staining. What is it and how do you do it?

Hi Don,

Try the SEARCH function with the word - yashadama and you wil find a link to a thread about yashabushi. From there are other keywords you could use and maybe find similar threads about this topic, not sure though. We have talked about it here in a few places. Ataru has discussed it from his experience as well.

The SEARCH function is a handy tool, though sometimes it is cumbersome when one cannot think of the right keywords to use in their quest. Just beginning and reading might spur you into finding lots of good information in the years of archives. Good luck with your quest.

Not really. I looked at the sites you mentioned, but haven't really been online to see if any more info is available.
