Hello all,

I'm into my second week in Japan and everything is going really well. Almost every day has been chock-a-block with one interesting happening or another, from visiting Toshimasa-sensei with my host Murata-san to climbing Mt Kurama and visiting many beautiful temples and shrines, and of course visiting Murata-sans museum at Kiyomizu-Sannenzaka.

I'm currently short on time but have created a gallery of images which hopefully you may enjoy.

Genki desu,

Jim

Hi Jim!
Thank You for the photos! Japan is so beautiful and unusual country! I like images with momiji, red maples, most of them! I've never seen such pictures! Thank You!

Hi Natasha. Yes the colors are sometimes beyond belief. Someone told me that it's as good this year as ever so I'm happy as I may never come again at this time.

Thanks,

Jim

Thanks very much Greg. I find myself framing shots almost constantly when moving about. Sometimes it results in something pleasing.
The day I went hiking with Murata-san my camera batteries ran out and I had no spare. At first I was bummed because we were coming into some very beautiful enchanted areas, but it made me forget the framing and just look, so that I can now visualize those areas quite well.

I was so happy to visit that national park wilderness to see something reminiscent of indigenous Japan. It was very intoxicating.

So I'm boarding the plane in one hour coming home.
