On a whim I picked up a couple of pieces at my local Wood craft store. The wood is commonly used to make musical instruments, i believe marimbas.
Has anyone ever carved with it? Seems like a nice, dense, hard wood which the store guy says is good for turning.
I cannot seem to find much as far as toxicicy or properties.
Thanks

Yea thats the site I saw but it does not talk about the possiable danger of the dust of the wood; its Toxixity. That is what I am most concerned about. I guess in the meanwhile Ill take universal precautions.

The wood in question may not appear on those lists, but there are other woods shown to be toxic.
