greetings and salutations

i have just discovered the art form of netsuke and am both purchasing and building my tools i have a few unique advantages in this area with a background of design, engineering, machinist, black smithing, leather working, knife making, minor lapidary, and minor carving plus a smatering of other skills. since i have found the idea of netsuke i have begun to amass a set of diagrams as well as a list of tools to make and will keep many here abreast of both my tool making and also my carving. if i am able i will be happy to add in tutorials on manufacturing blades and such as my time permits. thank you and i look foward to growing with all of you.

Welcome to The Carving Path!

Thank you for introducing yourself. How did you discover netsuke, and are there particular kinds that appeal to you?
