His and Her pendant Made from Tangiwai

This was a custom set I did for a newlywed couple. On there wedding they exchange these toki. Each mark on them represent an event in there life leading up to there wedding.

This is a very attractive set. Are these both translucent green when backlit? I looked at some other "tangiwai" (a term I wasn't familar with) pieces, and saw many that were, and others that appeared black, like yours.

I like a piece that has a little mystery to it like this, with a special attribute that only the owner/wearer is aware of.

Yes this set is see through when backlit. I find when cutting the stone down into slabs. one end can be very translucent and by the time I get to the other end sometime it is black as keen be unless I take it paper thin then is will appear this deep blue. But can’t make pendants out of paper thin stone :)
