I have several Manzanita burls which I dug up after a fire and carried home. I have cut one into several sections (not an easy task, the band saw was not happy) which I want to use as a base for larger carvings.
I want to apply a semi gloss finish to it, but leave it as "natural" in appearance as possible. The edges are left rough cut and only the top surface has been sanded smooth. Any suggestions out there on the perfect method? Pictures will follow shortly on the project. Thanks -------------------- |
