Recommended Posts

Dear Friend,

There is one book im thinking how to buy it. i saw it in ebay... Does any one know the book ? or have the book?

The Japanese Sword Guards and Fittings. i love the high quality photos in the book.

Sumptuously Beautiful and Exquisitely Produced Japanese Sword Fittings Book

The Collection of the Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum Collection.

This ranks as one of the world's finest collection of sword fittings and koshirae

Ample English content, including preface by Victor Harris, Keeper Emeritus of Japanese Antiquities, British Museum, and afterward by Murata Masayuki, Curator of the Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum, translated into English.

Also, all picture captions in English and Japanese. Very generously illustrated with stunning photography, with many detailed close ups, and display of signature marks.

Large format 23 x 29.5 cm - 95 pages - Text: Japanese with English preface, aftward, and captions - Soft bound with lovely high gloss dust cover - Exquisitely photographed and printed on lacquered thick stock - An extremely nice piece of publishing, and destined to become a standard reference work - Condition: New.

FYI

Here are some photos i found from the internet.

Guest Ford

yes, it's very good collection of late Japanese sword fittings. Excellent photos of very beautiful examples by most of the later great masters of the art. There are a few other books in the series with more from the same collection.

regards,
