A bit about me, I am a retired master carpenter, I did custom trim and worked on houses and buildings on the historic register. I amused myself by turning and carving, also flyfishing and anything outdoors. Although these days my mobility is limited because of asbestosis picked up over the years of remodeling and commercial work before anyone ever told us this stuff could be dangerious. Now I am trying miniature carving, hope to pick up some pointers from youall. one big question.....where does one get european boxwood anyway? Jim Kelso
Welcome. You can try Woodfinder at: Woodfinder.com or:Gilmer Wood The woodfinder isn't always reliable, as stock rotates, but at least it's a place to start. Also, there are several woods that are called "Boxwood" so try to pin them down as to exact species. Gilmer is very reliable. Please tell 'em I sent you.
