Sam Smith
Awesome knotwork, animal knotwork (has a name, just can't remember) is hard to get right. Heh seems like some people will carve anything
Debbie
Laurent, Oosik is hard and has a grain to it, but it has a lovely apperance and takes stain well. What is the stone you have set inthe handle? The knife seems to be a scandanavian design Your work is very nice. Debbie

laurent GERDIL
thank you to all, Hi sergio , as Debbie said :oosik is effectively hard as bone, but much less homogeneous, but it takes a beautiful polish And have a nice " vintage " aspect! Sam, it is true that knotwork is a good patience school, I like to do it , but I usually made it on the boxwood.like this one : Dessine , it's true that it look like scandanavian knife , the blade is to Éric PLAZEN a french bladesmith . The insert, is not a stone but a rivert which sets the blade Thank you don , most of my carve are on knife handle but i don't forge !
