Greg Delaunay
Hi, here is an other piece I juste finished: "Cernunos" 208 layers xc75/15n20 damascus blade Ivory carved handle Wallnut and bronze scabbard bronze guard (lost wax casting) some better pictures here http://www.elfic.fr/anglais/pages/cernunos.htm
fkvesic
I can't comment on the blade, Greg, as I know nothing about metal, but that's a fine piece of ivory carving in the handle and the wooden scabbard is well crafted. Just judging by eye, the proportions of handle to blade look very balanced. I'm curious about the the hair/horns interlinking and the way it forms a natural looking slip guard at the top. The carving reminds me of the way a ryusa's formed. What tools did you use to get inside?
Greg Delaunay
Thank you. To get inside, I used dental drill tools, and for polish...I don't find the good words: a micromotor tool with silicone which contains an abrasive... ok, I found a picture of it!
