Woodworm
This little fellow I carved and gifted to my son. Approx 91/2 inches x 11 1/2 Oak on Pine back. He marches bravely forever into the unkown void. Sadly we never get to see the face that has brought us our most cherished possesion. It's title -- taken from the Poem In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. "If Ye Break Faith" I hope you enjoy.
Phil White
Hi Woodworm, Thanks for posting a photo of your work, and for sharing your inspiration. You picked a challenging material to carve fine detail, but you have captured the drapery of his fatigues well. Has a sort of energy about it.
