Janel
Mesopotamian Cylinder Seals On the flight to New York City, I was fortunate to sit next to an interesting young woman who grew up in another country and works in a building positioned across the intersection from the high school that my son attended for the past two years (just a coincidence). She has a friend who is from Iran, who has created versions of Mesopotamian Cylinder Seals to be used out in the environment. The link above will bring you a web page showing this part of his conceptual work. Janel
Ed Twilbeck
Very Cool, with our sandy beaches on the Mississippi Gulf Coast I may have to try that. Thanks for the link.
Novice Carver
That would be so fun, I've never seen that before. I'd love to make something like that. I have always enjoyed making sand sculptures. Here's a few I have done. There is something satisfying about accepting the impermanence of the things we build with our hands, while enjoying their fleeting beauty.
