Thanks all.

 

Tom,

The inlays are 24Kt yellow, 18kt green and silver, the rest of the gun also has some 18kt red.

 

As for how they're done...the metal is cut away, the edges are then undercut and the base is cross cut in a way that the gold will stick to, then it's the case of cutting out the gold (sheet & wire) and hammering it into place.

 

I have been working on this gun for six months and there is about 4 to 5 left to do before it's finished.
