Natasha
There is the new Ryusa netsuke, called "Ideal Harmony". On the front side there are three family Zodiac animals, on the reverse side frog and turtle as symbols of prosperity and longevity and 5 insects. This Ryusa netsuke has been carved from mammoth tusk, its diameter is 2 inches, stained with Yashabushi, walnut ink, inlays: amber, black water buffalo horn, gold. Nelson Lepine
Wonderful work again Natasha. Your carving is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this site. With so much mediocrity in the world, its truly refreshing to see something thats so well done! n

Sandy Seton-Browne
It's OK Natasha, I take it as a challenge rather than inhibition! Now if I can just work out which bit of the mammoth is the tusk........

Although every one of your ryusas have been very well carved etc. , I think this one has an aliveness that really has your spirit shining through it.
