Hi Bohuslav,, Your work is a pleasure to see.

I love working with woods and was wondering what is the wood that is in the picture with the Knife.

Welcome to the carving path, I am hoping to see more of you artwork. Great carvings.

Thanx Ed! Glad you like them. Until recently i was posting most of my work on facebook, thanks to friendships i made there i discovered carving path...;) Which knife do you have in mind? The one with thin blade (and wooden scabbard) is sicilian olive wood and the dark ring is european walnut. Knife with thick blade ( finland type ) is walnut too - the dark ring and the light wood is curly birch from finland.

Thx Chris! Much appreciated! Simple shaping on grinder..nothing special..:)

Everyone who is capable of the work they produce think it's "nothing special", but to the rest of the world, who do not possess the artist's talent, it certainly IS something special!

Give yourself some credit, your definitely a very talented artist!

Chris ;)
