Brendan
Hi everyone my names Brendan, I'm from New Zealand but now live in Sardinia, Italy. I just started carving about 3 weeks ago. I have started in juniper wood mainly cause it's readily avaliable and durable. Here's a few pieces that are near finished.

Janel
Welcome to the forum Brendan! What sorts of tools are you using to start with? Available on the forum archives are many suggestions that might be helpful. Do you have any questions now that you have some pieces made? Brendan
Hey Sandy, Cheers for the Welcome. A Kiwi yes but in Sardinia, hard to find pounamu here, and as I've just moved here aswell as just started carving haven't quite got my tongue round the language to go down and hit the local butcher up for bone off-cuts. So for now use what I find naturally.
Brendan
Hey Janel, Thanks for the welcome to this forum. I cut the slices with a basic hand saw and use a rasp, carpenters chisel, craftknife and sandpaper, pretty limited I know. Have just the other day bought a Dremel drill but don't have many bits so yet to use it really. Brendan
