Hans Meevis
I haven't posted for a while, but I didn't stop carving. This one is 7.5 cts for a engagement ring being made next week. Brazilian material. This one is 5.5 cts for a wax carved ring in three weeks time. Nigerian material, untreated.
Janel
They look so much like water, very active water. Wonderful color and play with light through the gems. Did you do the shaping of these?

Hans Meevis
Just shape them with the standard Mizzy wheels then to diamond and then to diamond polishing. Nothing big deal. The Amethyst was for a engagement wedding set. The Aqua is just plain good material from Nigeria. Can't really do wrong with it. Here a picture of the finished set, which I completed today. Not strictly carved, more like filed and soldered so I hope it is okay to post.....
magnus homestead
Hello Hans, Nice to see you back here. I like these pieces very much. The aqua is sweet material indeed. I like the way the brightcut diamond setting reflects in the gold wall of the amethyst ring. ~Magnus~
