A Finished a Geisha and Working On A Doggie.

Recommended Posts

Here's a piece a finished a while ago. It's from boxwood colored and than finished with black ink.

Size is a little bit more than 6 cm

The dog I'm working on is from a drawing I made and I tried to get as close as possible to the cartoonish look wich is in the drawing...

I will post a few pics when it's finished as well...

It's made of Ivory and will get inlaid eye's and nose of buffalo horn, it's about a little more than 2cm high...

and here's the drawing...

Ps sorry for the wrong title...

should be more like working on a doggie and a finished geisha and uhh no toolpics...

or something like that

Hi Ko,

Always nice to hear from you!

Living in Belgium now for a while so carving is getting a bit behind but I try to do my thing;)

When I go back to Holland, hope to do some more work...

Also went to a woodcarving school in Antwerp to see if that is something for me, well it is so I hope to start in September. It's a study with individual help so you can follow your own way, sort off...

The doggie will be a netsuke to, just made the himotoshi and I gave him (or her????) eyes and a little nose of buffalohorn. Looks really nice. I will show some pics when I finished it.

What are you working on these days?

thanx to change the title for me;)

The pics of my tools where really unsharp so that's why...

Hi Bart,

I'm working on a kappa on cucumber at the moment. Boxwood with inlays.

Always busy carving but not very active posting on TCP.

I renewed my website, there is some new stuff and older things not shown before.

Succes with the carving lessons.

Groeten, Ko
