Sandy Seton-Browne
I have just bought a copy of this book. By another British woodcarver. Very similar to Benson's book but about £5 cheaper. Losts of photos of step by step methods, gallery of finished carvings, brief descriptions of various techniques such as inlay, eyes and 3 ways to carve bumps. Happy to scan a page or two for people to see if that is allowed. Sandy
Janel
Do you have links to pages or the cover of the book already on the internet?
Thomas M.
Hi Janel, Here ( "]http://books.google....ed=0CCsQ6AEwAA ) is a research in Google books (French version here, but I guess the US version will find it as well). It shows at least the cover. Thomas

JustinR
This was the first carving book I purchased for Netsuke. It is a very simple introduction to materials, tools, safety, techniques, and a few start to finish examples. Again very surface level and pretty short, but a helpful first read for a new carver. 👍 I have been hoping and waiting for Tom Sterling to print a copy of his carving book. It's a bit more advanced and a lot longer than Jubb's. It's available for free online for PDF readers.
