Repurposing Wax Carving Tools?

Hello, I'm a new carver and wanted to modify my wax carving tools to work for hardwoods. I'm not an expert on tool steel so I was hoping someone could tell me if I could just sharpen up these tools and use them or if they would be too brittle. The metal is chromium manganese tool steel. Here is the link

For sharpening, do you think I can just use a sander followed by stropping?

That is a good question,,, I would contact the company first to see if the tools can be suited for hardwood carving . then I would try sharpening only one to see if it will hold the edge on hardwoods.

Hope this helps.
