Bella Nicol
This was done for a former colleage of mine, who has a strong passion for sea turtles, and will eventually be lashed into a bracelet using hemp. This is one of my first experiences with larger paua inlays that needed to be a specific shape and size. When I first became a member here at TCP I hardly had any experience with hand tools, and I have to express my gratitude for this forum as an outlet and a resource because now, I cannot even imagine carving without hand tools! Thanks to the great advice of the members here, and of course Janel for giving us all the oppertunity to connect. Thanks Janel. Again, I apologize for the poor quality images.
