Ryan K
Hey all, Just wanted to share my newest piece and hopefully get any suggestions you all may have so I can improve for furture work. Its done in cow bone. Getting the shape was pretty much all done with my dremel flexshaft(just picked up this attachment the other day and really like it, i feel like I have much better control and precision than before), My finishing work, which I know still needs some work, was done with 120, 240, 320 and 600 grit sandpaper as as well as some files. I did the lashing and string with just some basic hemp cord. I twined the necklace part because I like the look of the thicker string. Sorry for the low quality of the picture. I cant seem to get my camera to take a decent close up pictures. Anyways, here it is I have more free time than I know what to do with currently so hopefully I'll have a few more pieces to show off in the near future. Billy
Looks like a good start to me. My only advice for you at this stage is acknowledge yourself where you think you can improve, and work on that for your next piece. Good luck, Billy.
