Lachlan
Carved from bone with black coral inlay eyes. You can see the grain of the bone in some of the pictures. Debating whether to attempt the detail the scales Im hesitant as these guys have the smallest scales!
Billy
Looks great as it is. Well done.
Janel
Ditto. It is now a sculptural piece with form, translucency, light and shadow. Making reference to scales, at this "scale" of tiny would not accurately reference the tiny scales. Doing surface alteration would distract from the liveliness of the form and reduce the enchantment of the translucency of the material. In my opinion. Cathy
Green Pythons would have to be one of the nicest looking snakes around. You replicated its typical posture well Lachlan. A neat piece indeed.
Tom Mehau
That is a very cool piece. What is dugong? Guess I could have Googled that, but then I couldn't have mentioned what a very cool piece that is. Thanks. And for what it's worth, I agree with Billy and Janel. Later with the scales! Lachlan
A dugong is a mammal found in the ocean. Similar to a manatee.
Christophe
Hi Lachlan, Beautiful work, I like the way the pendant is "hanging" on/in the collar. And for what it is worth....no scale, doesn't need any, my 2cts.
