Lachlan
I was given a small piece of Guatemalan blue jade when I purchased some larger blue jade slabs. It had a range of healed fractures through it and was very thin to start with. I was keen to practise my polishing and to see how the blue jadeite carved. It may only be slightly harder then nephrite on the Moh's scale but I could feel the difference when I was carving it. Took a lovely shine at 50k grit, might try some 100k on it when I get some. Ive now discovered how hard it is to photograph jade to show the colour and shine!
