David G
So what are you planning to carve Lachlan?.. he he...
Lachlan
Hahaha well one of the rules in previous years was that everyone got the same piece of jade, same size same quality. This year however you have to order your jade in the size and grade that you want and you pay accordingly. I was looking forward to everyone being limited to the same size and quality of jade and so I was going to decided when I received the block and got to see it. Now though Im not sure how much I can actually afford to buy and it opens the game right up in terms of what to carve. I have a few ideas haha
Janel
This event always makes me wish I could carve jade! Best luck and wishes for fun to you all!
David G
Grab a few diamond bits and go for it Janel, you have oodles of talent. Lachlan I too will be interested to see what sort of sizes are available and cost, I have something in mind, giving the sketch book a workout, not sure what or if I will do it. Six months by the time postage etc goes back and forth is not very long for me as I have very limited time to carve and complex shapes take me a lot of time.
