paolodeltoro
This is a necklace I made for my fiancée's birthday. The little fruit fly is made of ebony and his teeth, eyes and wings are made from tagua nut, (It was a bit of a nightmare inlaying those little teeth). The shrivelled plum is made from box wood. The fly is held in place by a brass pin that should hopefully keep him firmly rooted to his plum, he's already survived a drop test or two. I hope you enjoy & thanks for looking! Bryan
I love it! I really do appreciate the skill involved in trying to reproduce a natural object in a carving, but it is refreshing to see something with some real character, whimsy and creativity. Nice Job!
