Really cool mate, I love the shape of the hook point. What type of bone do you use? if beef what part do you use? Also are you using hand tools or power? Thank you for any advise you may give a newby.

Cheers

beefbone, whitened afer finishing with hydrogenperoxide n then polished, three days in peroxide from the farmacy, well i go to the butchers nad ask for bones and use beef as bis as possible. i start the work with a dremmel, Dremel Fortiflex 9100-21, and after that handtools mailt sandingpaper and steelwool. Stephen Myhres book Bone Carving is a good starter. You find a lot more here at different forums, all best

yeap! some times his book is a bit hard to follow. I will soon get these DVDs, http://www.carvingbone.co.nz/dvdtuition.html. . I am sure there will b a way for me to share them with u. the best I learned from Myreś book so far is the lashing and weaving cords and the use of gravers. keep up the good work

all the best
