My name is Tiffany, i have only been carving eggs a short time but it has already become an obsession lol love the challenge and improving with every egg i carve i get a bunch of eggs from my own flock so never ending supply to carve, love seeing everyones carved art! hoping to learn more and maybe help others if i can here are a few that i have carved they aren't finished yet in this picture as i still need to sterilize/cleanup and attach to string to hang Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dan Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 those are cool have been wanting to make something similar too this myself just haven't gotten around too it. even thought about having one of my students do this, he is super heavy handed with the machines and the projects so i thought to have him make something this delicate would teach him to trust the tools and to have a light touch. Tiffany K Posted December 31, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 31, 2014 It would be an interesting learning curve for sure:) if you have him try it don't use regular store bought eggs.. find some farm fresh ones as the shells are stronger the store bought ones are a lot more fragile and just don't hold up well and will probably frustrate him...
