Can you describe the Huon Pine, where it is from, how dense it is, etc. How was it to carve with? You have handled the material very well, and have executed the designs very effectively. Growth rings 1mm apart, creamy smooth and quite aromatic. It only grows in some remote wilderness areas of Tas and is no longer allowed to be cut down but because it doesnt rot, trees that have been down for many years are still salvaged and milled. I did a search for it and found some listed for sale, pretty expensive,, pen blank size 3/4 x3/4 x 6 inches was $10. don't think I be carving and I am glad that they stopped cutting them and again thanks for the info.
