Ed, great shine and smoothing, my property in Australia has heaps of Aussie grey box, a type of dense heavy gum, has some great pattern, would you give me some tips on the basic tools I need to start carving this, pendant pieces, as you know I only carve stone and would like to give it a go.

Cheers Michael B

Most of my carving tools are flex cut ,have some others and some hand made.some are old blades I have had for a long time. I have found that flexcut knives and Hand held chisels, that are made with spring steel work well and are not to expensive, they come sharp and are easy to keep sharp with stropping.
