Alec
Hi all, been a wood carver for some years but have now decided to venture into the unknown, (to me at least), world of wood engraving. I was fascinated by a guy at a local art show near here in August and my good wife bought me a copy of his Intro to wood engraving for Christmas. I will probably be asking a lot of questions! Thanks for your time, Alec R Powell

The website you placed in your post is of special interest to me. It would appear that the price of Maple blocks on your side of the pond compares extremely well with the same over here, (that is, depending on the shipping costs however) Probably something to do with the fact that you probably have a little bit more Maple than us over there Now if you want any Beech.................
