Ed Twilbeck
Hi Kathleen, Very nice piece, I like it. I have not carved elk antler before, never had any. Well not many elks come this far south. Beautiful carving thanks for sharing, Ed
Doug Sanders
Tell us a bit about your thought process for including those small holes throughout the...erm. female form. Looks like you lightened up the mass since you sent me a in-process pic.

Janel
What an elegant use of the material! Now a couple of droll questions, what are the dimensions. and being not familiar with elk antler, what part of the antler was used? If not the crown or base, but part of the length of the antler, was it cross section or with the lenght of the antler? Does elk have a solid antler or contain some area of open spongy area through the core. OK, that is more than a couple of questions... Dick Bonham
Kathleen, What a great piece! I love it! As with all your pieces it would translate beautifully into any scale. I hate to be redundant but it would be magnificent standing 6' tall in polished stainless steel. Dick

LarryWilkes
Stunningly, uncompromisingly beautiful, Kathleen. I've carved the 'crown' of stag antler but never got it so polished. Last time elk were seen hereabouts was by cave dwelling hairy men in fur diapers - so no 'sheds'. Larry
