Patrick Hastings
One small gathering on a cold rainy spring day. There were balls of them the size of grape fruits a few feet away, but I am not sure if everyone is old enough to see such debauchery
Janel
Watch out aphids! Nice photo! These lady birds look a little longer than the natives here in MN. Those in your photo also have quite a white rim and eye marking on the thorax covering (Sorry, I don't know the right word, and the beetle books are at the studio.) They are of good and uniform color. We have a variety of appearances here in MN, with the non-native Asian lady beetles in large numbers. They bite, too!
