woutwoods
I came a cross this site a few weeks a go and after some hesitation decided to show some of my work on www.woutwoods.b87.nl . I have been carving woods for over thirty years and once starting to photograph I discovered I made over three hundred objects. I enjoy seeing what other people are making. Guest DFogg
I like those pieces, boiled down to the essence of a few lines and have almost an artifact quality, ancient. I am going to post a live link to save folks the trouble of cutting and pasting Wout Woods Thanks for joining us.
Doug Sanders
Nice work! I especially like #'s 3, 12, 13. They all must be satisfying to hold in one's hand. Don's comment about the artifact quality is right on the mark. Some of them seem weathered and much older than their recent -I'm guessing- creation. -Doug

Doug Sanders
Thanks for adding more of your art to the website for viewing. I think they're fantastic. Extremely sculptural and show, as you mentioned in another thread, attention to original patterns in woodgrain to great advantage and effect. They're all just waiting for a thumb to caress the smooth, rough, bulbous, ridged surfaces.
