magnus homestead
Hello All, Just wanted to share some good photos of Greg Wilbur's work. He is a metal artist from Portland Oregon. All of his pieces are done with hammers and stakes using mostly raising and some sinking. The highly organic and expressive forms are really an aspect of nature, I believe, as Greg "grows" them through hours and hours of hammering. Hope you all enjoy them. I don't know how to add a link here, so you'll have to go to the gallery site yourselves - www.velvetdavinci.com Jim, I'd love to hear your feedback. Jim Kelso
Thanks Magnus. For others wanting to see Greg's work, you can click HERE I enjoyed looking at Greg's work. I admire work that is made this way, entirely with hammering and direct forming by moving the metal. I also enjoy the textural earthiness of the raised vessels. hanks again, Jim
