pakeha carver
My name is Douglas Macdonald. I live in Australia,( brisbane), but was born in NZ. I have been carving bone for 17 years and was taught by Peter (i think he changed his name to Rangi) Skipper when i was 16. i have been mostly pottering around but i have some reservations about some of my pieces and would like a master carver to take a look at them. i also would like to get some new ideas, pointers, etc and i might find them on this site

Sebastián Urresti
Dear Douglas: Welcome to the Forum! I´m learning to carve bone also in the Maori style, my study is a little difficult because in Argentina we don´t have Maoris or Newzealanders that carve, the few leaving here are very closed and dedicated to raise sheep in the south of the country. I think that the Whakairo that you are looking writes lots of messages here, a lot of Te Aroha words and works here! Anyway, thanks for sharing your work with the Forum.
