magnus homestead
Between the custom work which is supposed to pay the bills, I've been working on a couple of new beads. They are still in wax but this seems perhaps the best form to present here as it is in the wax that I do most of my carving. I've still got lot's of finishing to do(wax is repairable and so a very elastic and forgiving medium, but it is also very fragile and prone to damage). Both of these pieces are just over 6 cm. in length. Magnus

Karl Carvalho
Aloha Magnus, Thanks for sharing. I think that featherwork on the bird's head is outstanding. Can't wait to see it. What metal are you casting in? Just a thought, but I am thinking of Jim's shibuichi vase and wondering if you've given thought to the alloys? Phil White
Hi Magnus, I love the designs. I have a particular love for early Celtic design. Can't wait to see what becomes of this. Phil
magnus homestead
Thanks for the positive feedback. Karl - I have thought quite a bit about learning to make some of the Japanese alloys - I will keep you posted. Magnus
